So, you'd like to participate -- GREAT! This year's Save-a-Sample! Box-a-thon is scheduled for April 15-17, 2008. To participate, just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Pack up Your Materials
Donations can include, but are not limited to the following:
- binders (these should be relatively current and intact)
- brochures
- carpet samples (loose samples only, 12 x 12 or smaller. No carpet books.)
- fabric samples (memo samples only, no chain sets)
- glass samples
- stone samples
- metal samples
- wood samples
The more interesting your samples, the better. When you're gathering your materials, ask yourself "Would I use this for a school project?" If the answer is a resounding "no", then re-think its donation potential. Each firm is limited to donating a maximum of 15 boxes.
Please DO NOT donate: Sweets Catalogs, Code Books, Carpet Books, Material Boards (i.e. brick boards), or anything that could not be easily incorporated into a project.
This year we will have boxes available for your donations while supplies last. Please mark down how many boxes you will need when filling out your participation form.
Once your materials are packed up, set them aside. We will contact you in early March with an exact date and time of your pick-up.
Step 2: Complete the Save-a-Sample! Box-a-thon Participation Form
Fill out your form no later than April 1, 2008.

Step 3: Suggest a Sponsor
Borrowing from the "Walk-a-Thon" concept, we request that you
ask Manufacturers and their Reps to support your donation effort by pledging a small
amount for every box you donate. To participate in the Save-a-Sample! Box-a-thon, we ask
that you give us a minimum of 5 potential sponsors to contact on your behalf. The money they donate goes directly to local area design schools to fund scholarships.

We'll even have great prizes lined up for our top "boxers"! Click here to

We look forward to a successful Box-a-thon in April!
